Heart & Sole Sock Yarn Frustration

Here's my frustration with the Red Heart Heart & Sole Sock Yarn. There are all these little blobs and odd spots where it just looks like this yarn was dyed in a sloppy fashion. I was knitting from two skeins of yarn, so I don't know if the whole lot was done sloppily or if this is the norm for the Heart & Sole yarn. It's not so frustrating that I won't wear these socks, but I would have preferred a cleaner definition between the colors bands -- and no weird little blobs where it looks like someone got drippy with the dye.

My knitting group meets to day, so I've got to dash out of here. This has been an exceptionally exhausting week for me, so I'm looking forward to knitting and noshing. :-)

BTW, anyone who wants to read my article about Mr. Frazier (mentioned in my last post) can do so here. He's such a cool old gent, and his family history is wonderful.

  1. Even though the yarn has dots in it, the sock really is pretty. I purchased 4 skeins this weekend myself.

  2. Hmmmmmmmm. I've never had distinct stripes since I spin my own. I guess this isn't a problem with other sock yarns?
